When one has a birthday I think they need to pick some favourite things to celebrate - all the month long.
Yesterday DH and I had a 'day out' travelling up the Fraser Canyon to visit favourite places. That was Day 1
Day 2 (today) DS and DGS gave me a smoothie maker - and we plan to have cake with our supper.
I gifted myself with a 5 week online journaling course Write your Heart's Desire 2. Exploring thoughts, thinking about what the future me would thank me for, writing things down. Making time for me to dream, think, consider, plan, record.
My promise to me is to pay more attention to taking care of me; to laugh, to smile, to hug, to continue my daily walks, to eat mindfully.
The Fitbit that was my Mother's Day gift this year has been fun - it reminds me to drink water, get out and move, sleep enough.
I planted flowers in my front yard planter boxes and they are doing well.
I am grateful that DGS is keeping the front and back lawns mowed this year. Replacing the lawnmower made the job smoother.
Recovering from a car accident takes hard work and time and I have learned to cherish what I have and I am grateful for my blessings.
