Merry Christmas Gift Tag
The Merry Christmas sign looked like a giant tag - so when the sun was bright I added it to a large brown wrapped (stenciled with stars and trees) gift.
The Christmas stencils I ordered from Funky Junk Interiors arrived on Monday this week. Happy dance!
Supplies Used:
• Christmas themed stencils
• newspaper, masking tape, stencil sponge and
brushes of various sizes, rag for polishing
• painted (ASCP White) handled bread board
• Fusion Fort York Red, CeCe Caldwell Springhill
Green chalk-like paints plus Deep Gold or Fonce
paint
• ASCP wax - clear and dark
Stenciled using CeCe Caldwell Beckley Coal for the words and added two green trees and six red lights. Added a red layer over the black Merry Christmas.
The sign needed something else - so I used Deep Gold paint, smudged with my finger as I added some shading to the trees and a dab on each red light.
Sanded (sanding sponge), waxed with ASCP clear wax (with a few touches of her brown wax quickly wiped off), polished back and front.
Finished, added decorations.
Found a short-tailed mouse at last weekend's Church Sale, too cute to leave behind.
The Merry Christmas sign
would make a very large tag.
