My favourite was the outdoor decoration - a very weathered Thunderbird. I sealed the surface with MMS Tough Coat.
There has been some travelling to favourite out of town thrift stores this month as well as a lot of cleaning, researching, fixing some items and tagging.
I love finding vintage kitchenware, I find that many shoppers are looking for pieces that they can use, especially Pyrex kitchen bowls and fridge dishes.
Found a Corning Ware Wildflower Casserole and Teapot plus the larger Cornflower Teapot and Casserole at a well arranged, organized and family run estate sale.
Same sale, found a few more kitchen pieces.
Love finding vintage china and ornaments, the pieces below were all from different sales.
Could not let these pieces of copper stay in the Thrift Shop.
Garden, enamelware, log hooks and an old style laundry plungers and a well used green tool box.
The Mickey Mouse Smash Ball paddles added some surprise and colour.
I have been enjoying Instagram and often add a few finds there.
I love this Price Bros. group of Cottageware, never knew they made a large pitcher/jug and a large bowl.

Boy, you have been shopping and have found some great items!! Stay cool while you are out. It's almost too hot to get out and shop here. I'm doing estate sales which are usually inside but the outside garage sales are just too hot.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.

I really enjoy seeing your finds Joy! Lots of goodies. The Mickey Mouse paddles are so cute.

Mickey Mouse ping pong paddles, copper pieces and the thunderbird, wow. Is that preservative you used a spray or do you use a brush?
ReplyDeleteI added a link to Miss Mustard Seeds Top Coat to this post, thanks Terra for asking. It is a brush on finish that seals surfaces and doesn't appear to change the colour of the paint used on the item.

I spy tons of fun treasures! Love the Pyrex.
ReplyDeleteYou made a haul on your outings. Wish you had some of mine. Told my son I was going to have living estate sale. The generations now do not like my age things.
ReplyDeleteWith the help of her family an 89 year old Grandma did just that. The family home is sold and she is very happy in her suite in an assisted living apartment - and she was there at each day of the sale too.

You've been a busy shopper! Were all those copper molds and cookie cutters a one time find or did you pick them up at different times. It's a wonderful group.

Fabulous finds! I love all the copper -- so pretty! I use my Cornflower casseroles and just love them... I had a Wildflower teapot like yours but my daughter talked me out of it! Love that thread holder too -- I've never seen one with the pincushion attached! Great finds all around :)
