Late summer with hints of fall. The air is sweet. Breezes are very welcome. School is back in session and routines are reappearing. Later afternoon and evenings and early mornings are cooler and the mid morning and afternoons are hot enough but not enough to run the AC. Gardens are getting closer to finished and my tomatoes are ripening. Coastal BC.
My finds over the past two weeks, eclectic.
"Welcome" small chalkboard with Johnson Brothers The Friendly Village cups and saucers, a wooden maple leaf coffee spoon holder with a vintage aluminium ice cream scoop
Jockey and horseshoes brass bell
Capo de Monte, Italy, lidded comport, flower candle holder and vase
Copper and brass - utensil holder and brass and copper pitcher
tall Angel with Dove
Wolves and bears on ice (the snow is wax)
Had a bit of fun mixing Photo Collage with Pic Monkey to make the collage below. The vintage chalkware flower seller and the Johnson Brothers Dishes were mixed using overlay and rotate in Photo Collage then edited in Pic Monkey using a polaroid border on a green background.
A pink and blue bouquet for party hosts Sally, Katherine, Beverly and for LaVoice who always reminds me it is time for another special party.

Oh dear, having too much fun with Pic Monkey borders again. This is my 'shelf' mantle in the kitchen. Put a few bits and pieces together, used a stencil on chalkboard and used chalk ! Quick way to see if the stencil word fits before painting.

Joy, you have been busy finding some great stuff! Love the tea cups and I keep hoping to find one of those great ice cream scoops...one of these days. Thanks for the shout out and I have some new blogs to check out thanks to your list!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
My Mom still has one of those old aluminum icecream scoops in her utensil drawer - along with a few wooden red handled items. My tomatoes (two plants) went wild this year - probably 15-20 pounds from two plants. Never have I had any luck with tomatoes. There are still at least 20 tomatoes on the plant although it does seem to be slowing down and I pluck them the second they show any pink at all. No chance of frost here until November lol. If it starts raining I might go pick them all though. Great finds this week! I really need to get out my fall decor minipumpkins :)
ReplyDeleteGreat finds Joy. I especially love the brass and copper pitcher. My daughter collects The Friendly Village dishes and they look so pretty for Fall and Winter table settings.
ReplyDeleteHappy days.
Hugs,
