An old blogging thrifter friend has just started blogging again. Party every Thursday.
Welcome to Thriftasarus, a place to share your thrifted finds.
Fewer garage sales. Fall is here and major fund raisers from various Churches will be happening soon with a great variety of vintage plus the bonus of plants and holly and usually a very cheerful and welcoming congregation working on their fund raising Bazaar and Vintage Donations.
Fall decorations have such great scope; leaves, pumpkins, dahlia, apples witches, brooms, wreaths, the list could continue. The salt and pepper couple below (in their own egg cups) came with the right fall colours, orange and brown tones.
Sunshine on brass - and something really nice that DH found at a garage sale on Saturday - it is the wood under the brass. If you have been reading my cabinet posts you will guess that this will be the new-to-us cabinet top.
Dahlias from my small garden - I planted them in late June and they are now sharing their wonderful flowers in September. Picked yesterday, gathered together in my Mom's vase.
A vintage Greenwood Tree Royal Albert creamer and sugar and a cup and saucer plus a vintage metal teapot with the black knob and handle on top of a glass butter dish and lid, a cookie serving oval plate, an amber glass small jug, an Egg Coddler and a small Sandland creamer and sugar.
Vintage kitchenware, cream and green enamelled pot, red Melmac dishes, red enamelled ricer, 7-up bottle top opener, masher, scoop, Petalware pitcher and a bank Chicken with chick.
A German Carpet Beater and a Royal Doulton Chamber Pot (not the kind that had a lid), strange companions.
Figural Decorations. Brass horse on base, Whale Ring Holder and a Wooden gavel. Abbott Collection Angel with Baby, Girl on Music box and a Radford small basket.
The bottom row has a beautifully painted/glazed Blue Sky Woman with Cat, Legend Corsair 1985, Favor Ware chalk dog and a Nature Craft Toymaker.
And almost the last picture this week, a Chiller Bin - holds 24. It was half full of a mix of metal and plastic toy cars.
Thank you for visiting today. Love thrifting.

Hi Joy,
ReplyDeleteIt must feel like Christmas at your house! Thanks for playing today.
Happy Blue Monday!
Hello Joy, I too LOVE thrifting. I truly enjoyed the beautiful treasure you shared. I have a vintage wire hen and I filled it with wooden eggs. It once was used by my Aunt to gather eggs on her chicken farm. Of course the eggs she gathered were for her private use. The egg farm was awesome and having fresh eggs was a treat.
ReplyDeleteThis Weds. we leave for France for a month. I won't be able to comment much. I will try to use my hubby's computer if it works. We'll see.
Have a great October and enjoy the Fall weather.
All your goodies are nice, but love the egg cups.
ReplyDeleteOh I love he salt and pepper and the beautiful dahlia's! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWow! You could build a booth with these!
ReplyDeleteStill some good things to be had. When we were first married my mother-in-law and I had the same teapot with the black knob but it was aluminum and when the scare about this metal came out, we both got rid of ours. It had the nicest spout for pouring.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.
