I loved the sunshine and breezes this past week. It was another chance to do more painting on the back deck.
Next project - a small display cabinet. This is the 'after'.
I didn't take a before but it was partially painted in gloss white. It looked like an easy paint job. Wasn't.
I repainted in CeCe Caldwell Simply White and CeCe Caldwell Santa Fe Turquoise and waxed with ASCP Soft Wax.
This garage sale find a week ago Saturday had been partly painted with a high gloss white outside with lots of paint on the glass. It was a time hog for changing in into a turquoise/white display small cabinet, especially cleaning dried paint off the glass.
Cabinet before inside of door was painted (below). The inside and base had the same before look (unpainted).
Last two posts - turquoise/white painted furniture - here, here.
Something I found out by accident when using PicMonkey to edit these photos - if you choose COLORS and then choose NEUTRAL PICKER and click on any grey or off coloured white (once) in your photo the off colour whites become WHITE.
Click on APPLY to save the colour change if you like the look.

What a delightful little cabinet. Love the contrasting color on the inside. Don't you wonder about how some people learned to paint or rather how not to? LOL

ReplyDeleteI love little cabinets and I love turquoise...I have about 3 little shelves I need to perform magic on..wish you lived close by to guide me along...I am sooo not good at it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great accent to the other pieces.
ReplyDeleteLove that color, and it seems like it was a lot of work cleaning up the last person's bad job! You did good girl...cause it sure is pretty now!
ReplyDeleteThat came out so pretty! I've noticed that turquoise color on a lot of painted furniture pieces in antique malls around here. It's pretty popular. I bought a metal single file drawer for 25 cents last weekend and my hubby spray painted it white and turquoise for me. It looks really nice and when its done drying I will post about it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty little cabinet; love your work :)
ReplyDeleteThis is beyond cute!
