The small desk once resided here. Shiny brass knobs.
I had a few glass knobs from Lee Valley and DH changed them for the brass. Much calmer.

Love the new knobs! I put similar ones on a piece I repainted and I love them. They not only look nicer, they feel nicer too.

The new knobs make a huge difference. Love them!
ReplyDeleteI had a roll top desk not unlike yours here with all the partitions inside but with three desks, one had to go. The glass knobs are nice; I remember the glass doorknobs in my grandmother's house.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.
An old piece lives again. Sometimes it does not take much to repurpose a piece and make you love it again. It looks very nice by the window with a simple vase on it.
ReplyDeleteI love anything vintage. I hate waste and dislike people who do not recycle. This repurposed piece is amazing. I imagine this is an incredibly beautiful made piece. Thanks for the share.

You know the old adage about taking one piece of jewelry off after you dress? Changing the knobs on the desk reminded me of that. The glass is so much better than the brass. Thanks for sharing at Make It Monday.
