Before and After
I tried something different (for me) with the stool and various chalk clay paints. I collected all the shades of blue/green chalk clay paint together and layered the colors on somewhat randomly.
When I finished with the colors I used a watered down Simply White (CeCe) brushed on randomly and not covering all surfaces. I let the paint settle in overnight.
Next step was a bit of sanding.
After the sanding I wiped the stool with clear wax (brushed on). As I brushed on the wax several areas had paint removed, something that I had not had happen before. I am guessing the very shiny original finish on the chair had some resist (perhaps a good washing first should have occurred).
Reading, eating smarties and tipping the stool. That is what it is all about, using purposely.
Thanks for visiting.
See you again Monday.

Wow Joy - you aged it but it looks so much better than the original. Good job!
