Very shabby, very vintage Dolly who lives in my cupboard tried out the newly painted chair.
The chair was sweet before but the after is a treat, a simple project but satisfying.
I painted the chair with CeCe Caldwell Texas Prairie Chalk-Clay paint, one coat and touch ups, 2 coats on seat and back.
I thought adding Alaskan Tundra (CeCe Caldwell Chalk-Clay) paint as a wide stripe was a good touch (if you have read my last several posts you may have guessed I am in love with stripes). Finished with CeCe Caldwell Clear wax (and then polished and polished).
The vintage shabby chic/country/romantic cross stitch was a find at the Archbishop Carney yearly garage sale in our area. I am 'touching up' the bits of frame that have 'chipped'. Framed needlework mixed well with the painted chair.
Thank you for visiting. My next post will be November 4th at 7:00 am.
