Welcome September. In late August I went to a lovely estate sale and had a great time visiting with the relatives holding the sales.
The sale was being held because the parents had happily moved into assisted living and agreed to let their family help let their unneeded possessions go. I spent 2 hours visiting with the grandchildren and children while I revisited the 40's and 50's and 60's in fabric, china, cooking ware, tools, furniture...
I was 2 1/2 hours late to the sale and still found many items to take home. The potty chair had authentic wear that I thought you might enjoy. No sanding, waxing or chalk paint used here. It even had the potty.
Loved the age dirt on the sealers, the Polar Stumping Powder box was the unexpected extra.
I have a love of old office tools. The two hole punch in green is a keeper.
Welcome September. Cooler evenings, crisper days. My favorite season.
It is always nice to meet new people especially at estate sales nice finds. I went on a road trip with a friend yesterday and we hit a yard sale in Hixton will post the finds tonight. Have a awe sum Sept. 1st ttys

ReplyDeleteHi! This is JOY from Joy's Jots, Shots and Whatnots. Found you over at Brambleberry and checked out your blog. I really enJOYed the cruise through and finding our tastes of decor are very similar. I too like to take pictures while I'm yard-saleing and just a simple visit to the local Peddler's Mall just to inspire me. Look forward to checking out your blog in the future.
ReplyDeleteThose little books are a fabulous find! They are just the sweetest! I'm enjoying seeing all of your vintage goodies! Hugs!
