Hydrangea and lavender fresh from the front garden.
Chalk+clay paint, wax, sea shells, flowers + a few thrifted bits and pieces.
Yard sale find, a wooden shutter, was given a light painted/stain with chalk+clay paint. I can see this shutter as a background for many more vignettes.
Painted the large thrifted clothespin clip and Mason jar with chalk+clay paint (2 coats, dried overnight), finished with clear wax. Buffed lightly with a soft cloth. First try at painting on glass - it worked well and the paint didn't chip off with polishing. Glued thrifted sea shells to the painted/waxed clip.
Lavender in a vintage bottle + hydrangea in the turquoise Mason jar against the shabby shutter.
The beginning of my project idea - a clip (yard sale find).
I didn't use every idea (this post), refined as I worked.
