First up - a table - why there isn't a 'before' of the actual upright table I do not know - maybe because this table was not going to be a project, just a job that needed to be done. This one has been on my shed porch for a couple of years waiting for inspiration to strike.
Second project is a mid century modern magazine side table, garage sale find (DH).
DH picked out the paint, the colour name is Famen Temple. I think it is turquoise.
The paint dried quickly, had a nice satin finish and is water clean up.
This was actually the first picture I took of the table before too much paint was added (ran into the house to get my camera). This is a reality painting project - mess in carport, table balanced upside down on chairs piece of cardboard to protect chair from paint.
My neighbour G popped popped over and helped me flip the table over so I could work on the top.
Three coats of paint on the top and edges. Kept the drop leaf sides partly open so every surface could dry without sticking.
Vintage wooden table refreshed.
Next up is the magazine table.
Painted it upside down, 2 coats, flipped and did shelf and top with 3 coats, sides and magazine storage areas 2 coats.
Love the finished look. Added a retro telephone, seemed like the right accessory.
