I have to do a bit of glue repair on the lining. Clean, no odour, what could be better in a suitcase find.
McBrine is a good name the the luggage world. I found one other previously.
Met some lovely people, Elizabeth and Howard, both in their mid-eighties, last week. Howard built the 1940's home we visited and in the 1980's started and finished another home on the Sunshine Coast. He did all the work himself on both homes. Howard and Elizabeth holidayed around Canada and the United States and collected souvenirs, a great deal which we now call mid-century modern.
Elizabeth had a school satchel she used as a child and she wanted us to buy it. We did, and it is so sweet I am sharing it today.
I went outside after lunch and took a few flower pictures to share too, an old rhodo bush (at least 40 years old) with the most delicate pink blossoms (and not very many this year),
and a bleeding heart that has been in the flower bed for at least 20 years.
