On March 20th DGS and I did another garden walk. His pictures are the first two below.
DGS found a primula that I had missed seeing,
love how he held the grass aside and took a closeup.
Lilac, peony and raspberry leaves and daffodils.
And an especially lovely treat, DGS and DH cleaned out the old plants and overgrown grass, add sea soil and planted peas in the small blueberry bed on Monday 25th. Love those guys, the very best. They put everything away afterward too.
Today (Thursday) I am in for surgery so I've written a few posts ahead. Sharing with Mockingbird Hill Cottage Friday Evening (home recovering now).

Spring beginning.
Lovely!
ReplyDeleteWonderful first hints of spring!
I spent 3 hours yesterday outside weeding and prepping flower beds and our shrubs - it was gloriously beautiful in the sunshine and warm temperatures. I even dug out our cushions and set up our outside living room so we could enjoy a cocktail last night outside. Spring on the west coast is lovely! I hope your surgery goes ok - take care.
ReplyDeletesoon as all my snow is gone , I hope to dig in the dirt

Hello Joy, lucky you in BC - one of my favorite places in this beautiful world. Your pics are lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lot of green already, here in North Carolina Spring is late and nothing much is blooming in the garden - daffs were nice but already over, bluebells have lovely leaves shooting up but no ringing bells yet! Today we awoke to heavy rain but now the sun is peeping through so Easter Day is going to be lovely after all I hope - until the thunderstorms predicted for this evening roll in. At least it's warm and we are thankful for this day, and all days.
I see you are recovering from surgery - hope you will be fit as a fiddle very soon.
Happy Easter -
Hugs - Mary
