Chalk paint of ANY kind is an ongoing favorite. I love painting stuff.
This is the gold framed turned white. Used MinWax Polycylic as a top coat over 2 coats of CeCeCaldwell Simply White Chalk paint.
I worked on all three projects so that each coat of either white or black had time to dry, mini assembly line.
The dark green frame with masonite insert made a great chalk board. I painted each side of the masonite so the board can be used both sides.
The last project was a small wooden tray. I didn't take a before picture, just an in progress.
It is small, very useful as a backdrop and would be handy for naming and serving.

ReplyDeleteThose projects are lovely, Joy! I particularly love the picture frame. It's amazing how that ivory paint makes those flowers so much more vivid. And I long to do a chalk-board project ... perhaps this summer!
ReplyDeleteWow! Lots of good ideas for using chalk board paint! So far, I've only done one on a silver tray. Thanks for sharing other ways to use this product!
ReplyDeleteGreat job Joy! I am not a gold person at all, but oh baby did the frame turn into a beautiful swan from an ugly duckling. Both chalkboards are fun. I use to have a calender holder just like that first chalkboard. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
