Its getting late in the garage sale season in my area. Lots of cute and useful things for the under 3 age group, great sports equipment for the pre-teens, good furniture and kitchen fixings if one is starting their household, but not so much in the vintage and shabby decor line. The tin globe was a nice find, likely about 40+ years old. I like the months on the base.
Found another box camera, not quite complete (one film rod was missing).
Labels on camera:
Canadian Kodak Co. Ltd Make in Canada
Use Film No. 130
Happy Thanksgiving Day (Canada)
I would have snatched up both of those, too! Old cameras and globes are 2 things I always keep my eye out for. Enjoy your finds! :)
ReplyDeleteI just love that tin globe! The base/stand is the coolest one I've seen on a little tin globe before. Nice find!

ReplyDeleteI love globes and maps! I have a ton of maps, but only two globes. That one is a great find!! congratulations.
ReplyDeleteThat globe is beautiful...I wouldn't know if something was missing on a camera like that and I'm not sure if I've ever even seen one in the wild here in Central Texas... but that's something to keep my eyes open for! Lovely finds!
ReplyDeleteVery cool finds! And I agree with your garage sale summary! Footnote: many moons ago I owned a copy of the Huck Finn book your globe is sitting on. I recognized it right away!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! Here as well it's the end of the garage sales season (we call them "empty-your-attic-sales"), which is a bitter sweet moment for me: I'm sad that I'll have to wait for spring for next great finds and relieved that I'm going to sleep a little on Sunday mornings (here the sales are on Sunday mornings).
ReplyDeleteOh my JOY ... you find the neatest things. That is the neatest glove I have every seen.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Audrey Z.
NICE! I love the globe :)
