The first group is aqua and clear glass sealers, wire tops, various style of glass lids with the various brand names; Aqua Perfect Seal, Canada, Atlas E-Z Seal, Queen Trademark Widemouth, and clear glass wire top Canada Perfect Seal, 6 jars with 6 various tops and and 6 wire closures around the grouping of sealers in this collage.
These sealers below are part of an earlier 'find', vintage zinc screw top lids, a couple of somewhat more modern metal screw tops mixed in with wire tops (and no top in some cases).

More views of Saturday's Sealers with peeks of a couple of vintage photos and a vintage aqua J.G & Co 1893 insulator.

They are sooo clean. I don't remember the last time I found the old Ball canning jars and they didn't look like they had been stored in someone's barn. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your treasures.
ReplyDeleteWhat a haul you made. I collected all those kinds of goodies when I was young and used them for actually canning tomatoes and pickles. Gave them all to our son who does that now. My house got so full of collectables had to let some things go. Well I am collecting something else now, plastic shopping bags and am overrun with those. Working diligently to use them for projects on my post today. Pop over for a visit. I am loving this Kathe with an E party.

Oh that's a lot of jars, amazing that the metal parts are still good. What will you be doing with all of them? I remember when we were kids, my grandmother has some jars looking like that, but maybe they are all broken now!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely finds!! Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to a Round Tuit!

Great finds! Just wanted to stop by and say Hello. I may not comment on each post, but I am reading them. Stay cool!
ReplyDeleteHi Joy, I love your stash of canning jars that you found. I really like the ones with the zinc tops. I just learned that the ones with a number 13 are very collectible and worth more. Now I'll be picking up every one that I see.
ReplyDeleteHi Joy, what a great find! I love the old blue bottles and the zinc tops are great. There are so many fun uses for them. Loved the mosaic. Thanks for sharing your find with Share Your Cup.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann
