Some days just have great spots of happiness. Random, spontaneous. Today it stopped raining and Peaches got taken for a walk. There were cherry blossoms laying on the grass along the way. They came home. Some sweet peas were planted in the front flower boxes and red berries were carefully picked from a big bush. Clippers were found in the tool drawer and tiny blue flowers on stems were gathered. DGS. Loved garden work when he was little and continues to be enthralled with worms, slugs, snails, his 'flower garden' that he claimed years ago for his own, collecting flowers, rocks, shells, seeds... So, that was my big spot of happiness today, walking, talking, garden work and gifts of tiny flowers. Here they are.

Spontaneous joy is the best! And it is usually the simple things of life - casual walks, spring flowers, pretty vignettes - that initiate that joy. ;)
