Estate Sales in my area appear somewhat different from those I read about in blog posts. The ones I find are run by the relatives and there is usually time to chat and learn as I shop. A bit of history is often shared about items that are being released. Today I am thanking J and G for inviting me to choose from their pre-estate sale. As you have guessed I put the fresh stock into my booths at Village Antiques Mall. Having a booth lets me buy what I love and share with other collectors.
Mom had a similar stool, all metal though, to the brown fold down step-stool below.
The grey bench was found just outside the back door, used for putting
clothes baskets on and changing shoes for inside/outside.
At the church sale on Saturday I was lucky to find the red makeup case
and red plaid topped sewing basket.
I also found "A Recipe for Love" small pillow as well.
The previous weekend at another estate sale I found the tin TV tray with train motifs.
Something I always love to find, portable typewriters.
My finds usually are from the 40's and 50's
but not limited to those eras.

ReplyDeleteLooks like you found some great things. I remember starting on a typewriter. The next generation won't even know what they are!
