Welcome to Mel of Crafty Mel Designs
This lovely chalk dove was painted gold. Now it is painted with 2 coats of home made white chalk paint (see yesterday's post for the 1-1-3 recipe ).
I painted, using teal blue latex paint to make a home made chalk paint (1 scoop of plaster of paris, 1 scoop of very warm water - mixed together well, and 3 scoops of latex paint, again mixed very well).
I gave the plant stand/small table 2 complete coats of paint and added a third on the top.
Another view of the finished painted plant stand/small table. The chalk dove was painted with the homemade chalk paint (that I used in yesterday's post), 2 coats, with a very light waxing, very little buffing. The teal plant stand/small table was waxed with a light coloured floor wax and buffed.
Another piece of painted furniture tomorrow.
