A carnation bouquet from a dear friend here eventually lead to today's post of using the remaining good blossoms.
I wrapped a few turns of hemp string around the top of the wooden caddy to support the stems and added a pyrex nappy to hold the water.
I picked through the original bouquet and saved the best of the blossoms.
The saved carnations bouquet lighten the heart for several more days and the remainders went to the compost.
What a neat trick. As the bouquet dwindles I never know how to down size it very well.
