My Best Furniture Redo in 2011
copied from my November 5, 2011 post with a few additions....
Why I didn't take pictures of DH fixing a couple of loose bits, adding the wheels, putting on the handles I don't know. Glue, clamps, nails, screws, cleaning up glue drips, you recognize the process.
I love the look. Its the first time I've tried two colours on one piece of furniture and I love the end result. There were two handles missing so the bottom drawer got handles that are a bit shinier, shaped a bit differently. This dresser arrive with wheels but the holes were there and the dresser was so happy to get its wheels again.
Finished, beautiful, vintage

a second and third wax and buff
|
added more Paris Grey inside the slats and edges
|
Isn't that wheel delicious - so worn, rust so smooth,
love the paint (ASCP Versailles under Paris Grey, clear wax)

Before After (blue glow from TV)

You made a really good job with the chest of drawers. I am enjoying catching up with your previous blog posts before I go back to work tomorrow, I love reading them.
