Remington Quiet-Riter
I feel very lucky this year - this is typewriter # 5. My eyes are always trolling under the edges of tables and amongst the cardboard boxes when I am hunting for treasures. This lovely was from a Church Sale, under the table, surrounded by boxes and old briefcases. I did not open it, just picked it up, paid, hauled the heavy little portable out to the car and came back to carry on with the treasure hunt.
Here are my other typewriter posts: Portable Elliot Underwood Fisher Ltd, Portable Smith Corona Clipper, Empire Aristocrat Portable, and full size, very vintage Underwood. Last picture on this post has 3 of the typewriters on a student desk.

Love your most recent purchase and your whole collection! I'm just starting to collect them. I have 1 similar to your new one and one very old Remington that I absolutely love.
ReplyDeleteI hope to find more of them.

I love seeing the vintage "modern" things. Things that were once state of the art. My husband would look a this typewriter, scream and run! He's a newspaper reporter! :)
