My favorite link of the week is with Claudia's Mockingbird Hill Cottage: Reality Thursday. It is a moment in time to 'let down your hair' and share a slice of your own 'reality'. Check out the other links for some fun reading.
I've walked past this dahlia bouquet for more than a week now - finally it dawned on me that the flowers were FINISHED. Looked in the bowl (spotty banana), checked the counter, stuff. Crowded microwave top. My goal was to have NO Hot Spots (that's from The Flylady if you ever want to check her out). I've followed her web page and received daily emails from her for years now. She deals with clutter, taking care of business, and so much more, like a good mom. Like a kid I don't always follow up on good advice right away.
Reality is so refreshing! Thanks for sharing!

Ah, reality, where real life happens.
ReplyDeleteI know all about that! :-)
There is something going on in your kitchen.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.

Funny how suddenly we see the clutter - or the hot spot! I just did the same thing yesterday with my zinnias. Most of them had died, yet they were sitting there in the vase!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in!

LOL Seeing someone else's "reality" is always interesting. Seeing my own...not so much. Guess I'd better get busy and clean off the kitchen island. Cute post.
ReplyDeleteSo good to know it's not just me. Of course, this is where I confess to "HOT SPOTS" all over my house and garden.
ReplyDeleteHI JOY,

It's funny how the longer something is around the less we notice it until - BAM - one day it's there and we must do something about it! Ann
ReplyDeleteFlowers are a funny thing. They look good for awhile, then not so good, but not good enough to throw away, and then, they are really done. But I tend to let them go for a long time.
ReplyDeleteReality shots are a good way of keeping things in the blog world honest.
