Would you buy it Wednesday - at Junker Newbie.
This desk was 'featured' by Junker Newbie here.
I do have plans for this one though. It involves sand paper, primer, spray primer, ASCP, wax and time. So far I have used a dry scrub brush to rub off the loose stuff - spider webs, eggs, dried out and flaky varnish.
I kind of like it "as is". I'm left handed, too, and can remember trying to find a writing position in these desks!
ReplyDeleteI actually used to have one of those - my kids used it a lot. I'm left handed too - you learn to adapt, don't you?
ReplyDeleteI can't WAIT to see it! I homeschooled my youngest two children and I bought vintage school desks for them.....which worked til they were older and we had computers and redid the school room with work stations. I do still have an antique desk in my foyer.....no arm but it does have an ink well hole and pencil ditch!
ReplyDeletethats cool
ReplyDeleteI never pass these fabulous desks up when I see them! I think some ASCP will make this one look amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I'd buy it. And I'd use Briwax on it.... :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I remember similar metal and/or wooden desks in high school and college. They were never comfortable. Yours actually looks like it could be comfortable! I look forward to seeing it when you're all done.
