Finds this weekend and introducing two new followers Rick and Maggie

Welcome to two new followers : Rick; writer, songwriter, photographer, Life 101
Maggie; mom, writer, decorator, sewer, A Cherry Blossom Kind of Life

Last weekend was shorts and short sleeve weather.

Some fun garage sales - my favorite - was the 'every item is 10¢ sale' - true.

I love/loved sewing and found four baskets full of 'as they were left'. 30 wooden spools in all, about another 100 non-wooden spools of thread. Seam rippers, sewing needles, pins and pin cushions, seam binding, snaps, hooks and eyes, small screw drivers, sewing machine oil, various scissors, darning egg, rolling tracer, thimbles, embroidery cotton, darning wool ... if you sew/have sewn you get the idea
- mom's/grandma's sewing basket -

Found two welcome signs with brown borders, painted the borders vintage green.

Finally collected enough white buttons (took years!) to make a vintage wire top button jar. Twenty of the wooden spools made a vintage wire top spool jar
and just for fun also made a vintage wire top notions jar.
Felt vintage artistic.

  1. Nice post, I like the embroidery and especially that button jar. It's quite similar to what my Mom has.

Thanks for visiting. I read and appreciate all your comments. Joy
