Cast Metal

From Wikipedia - A trivet is an object placed between a serving dish or bowl, and a dining table, usually to protect the table from heat damage.

Trivetts - handy to have under teapots, under casseroles, under stew pots. Look good grouped for a wall vignette.

Doorknobs - when I saw this doorknob I thought about a nice barn or fence board brushed with white paint, sanded off, a painted "Hang Up" and two or three vintage doorknobs with attached plates added. Strong back hooks. New vintage coat rack. I've looked at so many great examples on blogs over the past year - and guess what - I did not bookmark even one. Now when I want to link to show examples - nada. I had a good time making the collage though.
