Twig Arch Possibilities

The Girl Guides and their leaders had a garage sale Saturday morning at St. Luke's Parking Lot.

It rained all day, sometimes sheets of rain but always 'some' rain. They had their canopy tents and folding tables and lots of help. You know how those canopies like to dump rain every once in awhile. Everyone was very damp, puddles were everywhere.

The Girl Guides were great. They helped carry my finds to my car (several trips, too). We got to talk about camping trips the got rained, hailed and frozen out.

The leaders kept things hopping. They found boxes and bags for packing, took the money, talked about why they were fund raising, added more stuff to the tables as space opened up. Lots of buyers too.

Great junk, some treasures, much of it was from 'someone else's garage sale' stuff plus donations form the families of the Girl Guides. Everything was sold by donation.

First thing I picked up were two twig arch pieces. I didn't have any plan for their use but they looked good. About 15 minutes later I was checking out the Christmas table and - there were 9 teddy bears wearing sweaters. Bought those.

I went digging in the boxes that were not yet unpacked and found 11 circles of buttons (strung on copper wire with some ribbons added), a project of one of the Girl Guides. Bought those. I had lots of wooden clothes pins in my sewing drawers.

I did rearrange the bears and buttons after taking the photos (and I took off the snowflakes too).

I can see pretty hankies or doilies displayed on the twig forms
but for now the Teddies and Buttons won and
so did PicMonkey frames.

A bit of cute to share today.

Thank you for visiting.

  4. Hi Joy,

I do not like rain, or snow, or sleet, or . . . anything wet! It did not seem to inhibit you, though. Thanks for making Blue Monday special.

    Happy Blue Monday!
