Painting Before and After

My birthday (Tuesday). Flowers from DS and DGS. Went out for supper with DH after cake with the guys. Divided the large bouquet between 2 vases. Kept this one on my white bookshelf.

Back to painting, my friend Judy came over to help me paint and we cleaned and painted a stool, a chair and a small round table.

Stool - OK

Before and After
(need to clean my lense)

I added the stencil in the evening, waxed (ASCP clear wax), polished, finished.

Chair - OK

Chair before and after

Judy scraped and sanded and then painted 2 coats of CeCe Caldwell Simply White. DH glued one rung and side back of chair.

I added faux grain stripes in the evening.

Small round table - not OK

This table surprised me with a stain that showed through the paint. I first painted it with CeCe Caldwell Santa Fe. Saw bleed through. Painted with Zinsser Cover Stain. When dried, painted with Santa Fe again. Still seeing a bit of bleed through. Painted with Zissser 123. It was THICK and was past its time to be used, should not have used it - had to scrape, wipe and scrub the 'white' off. Fail.

Small round table may appear another day if I can get it to look like my vision.

Thanks for visiting.
