Sunshine + no rain for three days = working outside.

Garden and yard clean up. Trimming back tree branches, dead branches and piling them on the curb for the Municipal chipping program, weeding, edging, cleaning flower beds and bushes, weed eating the grass. Trips to the Green Recycling with bags and bags and bags of green waste. Yes I had help from my dear friend V.

Cleaned out as much stuff as possible from the big white tent, things that need to leave the property forever. Ditto from the shed deck. Decision time. Put the best of the stuff that was being cleared out on the curb in case someone else wants it. (only a few items left as of Saturday night, will leave out for 1 more day). Took 2 pickup loads to the dump of stuff that can't be recycled, fixed or donated. I didn't take any pictures, just worked, thankfully with help from J, another dear friend.

Brought some of the stuff into the house to clean up, fix up, write up and get ready to put in my booths.

Brought in a few things that DH is going to fix.

First project for fixing has been started. I brought in the bin of 'parts' and DH has started on the puzzle of fixing/putting it together. Teaser picture.

Two neat items for my booth. This hoe head has been out in the weather, hanging off a fence post.

Vintage art deco stair carpet clips WAH Reg, cast Iron with a copper coat. Two screws hold the clip to the stair and the clip is on a hinge that snaps over the carpet. Wonderful invention.

Not my usual Sunday morning post.
Snippets from the last few days.

  6. I have a feeling it would have been worth the however many hour drive it is to curb dive at your place! You've been busy with spring cleaning. There's nothing like the satisfied feeling that completing a major task brings, is there? I love those carpet clips. Never seen anything like them before.

  8. It is so great to get out in the yard again with Sunshine! Love the carpet clips. I am sure they have been tossed thousands of times. I took some of my old yard decor to my booth and put FREE on the pile. For some reason it increased sales.

  10. Your right, 3 days no snow and warmer temps and sunny does mean working outside. I worked outside all day Monday, and now my body if paying for it. But what great pain it is. Those carpet clips are so cool and never seen it before!

  13. I'm so envious of those of you who can work outside now. The only thing I did outside recently was shovel snow :(. Ahhhhhh...Spring will surely arrive though.
