Small Project ASCP Provence and a Frame

Small project. Thrifted unpainted (4 pieces) wood framed glass with a piece of shelf liner cut into the shape of a heart. Strange screws, had to try several screwdrivers till one worked.

Before (same style frame, different rubber image) and after

Took frame apart. Painted ASCP Provence (my favorite color after Old White). Washed/scrubbed the glass (the rubber shape left after images on both pieces of glass) Two coats of ASCP, drying time and then a clear wax and buffing.

Clear waxed (CeCe Caldwell). Added a photo collage of a young DGS's birthdays. Added back hook, used pliers to hold the tiny nails in place after measuring and remeasuring.

Moments in time.

Added it to my wall of Love.

Supplies: frame, ASCP Provence, brush, clear wax, photos, pliers, hammer, wall hook.

If you liked ASCP Provence here are another, another and another.

  1. A sweet addition to your wall of love! Framing hardware is the absolute worst to work with.

  2. We are driving to the closest Annie Sloan distributor today - a beautiful drive along the coast - but I am just picking up a quart of Old White. I have never used Provence so I will check out the color and see if it will work anywhere in the house or garden.

  9. Hi Joy, found your blog via Sew Many Ways. Love your work. I have four of the same frames collecting dust in my art studio. You have inspired me to dig them up and make them into something pretty!
