This week - two vintage suitcases, cardboard, clean, quite battered and now mine. They need a bit of glue/clamping inside to re-attach the lining in a few places.
Love the stripes. Lots of great posts in blogland about repurposing vintage suitcases. Search vintage suitcase and you will see dressers made of suitcases, table top suitcases, pet bed suitcases, coffee table...

Other suitcases I've found
over the years here, here, here, here, here, here and here. The most viewed was a McBrine Black 1950's era small suitcase.
ps: I was trying out American Typewriter font to see
if I like the 'look' on this post.

ReplyDeleteSuitcases are getting harder to find in thrift stores and at estate sales, when I do find one the price tag is very high. You have two very nice suitcase, yeah for you. I like the typewriter font and the color.
ReplyDeleteI have a thing for suitcases, too. These ones are great examples of a time when travelling was a big deal and you kept your suitcase for life! ~ Maureen
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for you! They are definitely very hard to find. I have a project I would love to do with an old vintage suitcase, but I haven't been able to find one. You give me hope that they are still out there. Have a lovely day!
