A Very Old New Favorite Thing

Vintage Cardboard suitcases have always been a favorite,  seldom found.

This week - two vintage suitcases, cardboard, clean, quite battered and now mine. They need a bit of glue/clamping inside to re-attach the lining in a few places.

Love the stripes. Lots of great posts in blogland about repurposing vintage suitcases. Search vintage suitcase  and you will see dressers made of suitcases, table top suitcases, pet bed suitcases, coffee table...

Other suitcases I've found over the years here, here, here, here, here, here and here. The most viewed was a McBrine Black 1950's era small suitcase.

ps: I was trying out American Typewriter font to see if I like the 'look' on this post.

  4. How exciting for you! They are definitely very hard to find. I have a project I would love to do with an old vintage suitcase, but I haven't been able to find one. You give me hope that they are still out there. Have a lovely day!

  12. They sure don't make them like they used to. The vintage suitcases are so lovely and look great stacked up for storage or used as a side table. Have a great day! Tammy
