Love from Grandma

I changed my header yesterday (three times). I also walked around the house to see what my next 'favorite' would be for this post that I am sharing with Claudia at Mocking Bird Hill Cottage Favorites.

My beloved Grandma (my Dad's Mother) was a rancher's wife as well as an artist. Grandma left me wonderful memories of visits, teachings, kindness and love. I remember her vividly with great love. She gave me this 'Grace' when I was 5 years old and I have it on my wall today.
The back shows its age but I hesitate to do any repairs (so far)
 because I treasure the age.

This universal Children's Grace is very appropriate for this long weekend in Canada, Thanksgiving - on Monday.

  7. There must be a way to preserve the
back of the wall hanging.. I remember
saying grace at dinner and that was
the exact saying.. so sweet that you
have this from grandma... very nice!

  8. Oh, Joy, what a treasure that is. I love the stitching and the charming frame. I have a few framed things from my grandmother and I have hesitated to mess up the backing, too. I don't want to do anything I might regret!

Thank you so much for joining in this week!

  9. A real treasure-- and I love that frame! You certainly can replace that backing paper-- SAVE the original with the writing. Copy it and attach to the new back. If you have the funds-- take it to a GOOD frame shop. Definitely worth it. Future generations will be glad!
