Fall Front Porch

I dried the hydrangea in a large planter pot and then read (on Donna's post Funky Junk Interiors) that as hydrangea dry they take the shape of the container they dry in AND become very fragile. She was correct. Instead of making a few bouquets of dried hydrangea blossoms they had to stay in this container. So, I used them to tweak the front porch.
The before is a bench that needs something done to it. Very dated, not pretty, maybe needs to find a new home, but for now it is on the porch. It does collect a varied amount of 'stuff' on its way in our out of the house. I cleared it off before I took the photo.
Wrapped a couple of bundles of my peavine sticks to give some height to the display.
Added two tin lanterns that are waiting for a new home and called in finished.
Welcome home.

  16. Very cute. Donna was so right about the hydrangea. I always forget that they sort of dry to the container shape though until I am trying to move them somewhere else. I love your stick idea for the porch also.
