Easter Pretties and PicMonkey Fun

Thought I would spend a bit of time playing around with
some of the PicMonkey features .

Just wishing you Happy Easter Thoughts Today. Lovely 'J' Font is made by Jessica Hinch @ Daily Drop Cap. Claudia of Mockingbird Hill Cottage wrote a post about Jessica's Web Site. Jessica lets non commercial bloggers use her letters in their blogs as long as they attribute the letter to her. Thank you Jessica.

Easter themed vignettes and PicMonkey Magic

Take a little PicMonkey. Crop if you like, adjust exposure and colors and sharpen. Undo works just fine if you change your mind (arrow bottom left corner). Have some fun with Museum Matte, maybe a bit of Drop Shadow and finish with Simple Edge. Polaroid is fun too and don't forget to try out Rounded Corners.
Add some text and change the font, color and fade it for a nice watermark.

There are some little arrows on the bottom of the PicMonkey window that let you undo, merge together all overlays and marry them into the photo. Save and Upload (get your photo) are there too.
There is a chemistry bottle that has Orton, Cross Process, Boost, Soften, Black and White, Dark Edges, Frost and Sepia. Try them out for fun. Imagine when you add some other these options to your frames. Oh my goodness, scroll down when in PicMonkey for much much more. Choices galore.

I have been playing with PicMonkey for too long on this post so I will stop for now. Hope you have time to try it out too.

  2. I was thrilled when PicMonkey sent me the e-mail that they had gone live! It is a nice, easy program with which to work. Hope they add more fonts soon and can't wait til their collage option is added. I use the site in conjunction with Picasa and Photoscape for all my editing. Each program brings something different to the table.
I love your ferris wheel egg holder, Joy! It's truly unique. Visiting from The Thrifty Groove. ~ Sue

  3. I have got to get busy and learn a new editing program before Picasa runs out. I will give this one a try.
