Welcome to Kathy of A Delightful Life

DH bought me a "Yuan" Woods and Sons (Heron motif)
gravy boat and underplate yesterday, unexpected surprise. I have several pieces put away and I think they may come out to live on my Welsh Dresser some day soon.
(the H for share was being used for HUG in this photo, sharing an H doesn't really work that well when making block words)
 Additional views.
The mark reads "Yuan" Woods and Sons England (plus the registration number).
January Blocks (ran out of H's so had to remove "HUG"), have to find some more blocks.
An addition to the Hydrangea grouping.

I am just about over being sick, thank goodness.
A week of sleeping, reading a bit, sleeping some more,
pottering around a bit,
 eating very lightly and carefully
and drinking lots of water has obviously helped.
Thanks for the very kind comments and emails.

  2. The gravy boat is beautiful! I love your creative use with the old blocks! The dried hydrangeas look great with the gravy boat - perfect color match! Thank you for sharing with Home and Garden Thursday!

  4. What a sweet husband surprising you with a lovely piece like this. It's not a pattern I've come across before but it really is pretty.
    Gorgeous hydrangeas, too.
