Painted Folding Bed Tray

Vintage Folding Legs Bed Tray

A pretty little find. Needed a bit of TLC (a few stains on tray surface).

Washed quickly with Basic H (Shaklee) solution in water, dried with towel.
Set up on tarp outside. Weather was very overcast and cool. Rain held off.

Sprayed top and sides, then later underneath and inner construction with Heirloom White Rust-oleum

Let dry between sprays, 3 coats on all surfaces.

Waxed when dry - next morning (clear paste wax).
Buffed.
Added 2 pretty vintage doilies.

Aside from 'cleaning and drying time' this upgrade took about half an hour 'hands on' work.

Short and sweet.

Dreaming teapot, cup and saucer and jam and scones on a teaplate.  Mmmm.

The bed tray would have been quite usable as it was except for the use stains (see below)
Before ( a few use stains, gold trim on faded white and After (with doilies)
Rust-oleum Heirloom White - most accurate colour in this photo

  1. Wow! What a lovely transformation! Thanks for stopping by for a visit. To answer your question about my header banner, it is a ceramic pumpkin found at Goodwill several years ago surrounded by ceramic acorns from Hobby Lobby. How cute would it be if it were a jello mold??! :)

  2. Your header is wonderful. Very Halloween-y! The tray is cute, too, but I'm loving that header. You've inspired me. Thank you.
