More Vintage Salt and Pepper Shakers

Today I am posting a few 'cute' salt and peppers, a meter reader, pink car, and teepees. The husband of the original owner of the over 200 salt and peppers was so happy to see them go to a new home. Once a 'type' of collection is established, such a salt and peppers, family members and friends tend to add to that collection, especially on their travels. Current observation on the popularity of these small collectibles is that they are both theme collected, collected for size (a lot fit in a small space). Some links: Salt and Pepper Novelty Shakers Club have a good selection of various types. Whiskey Jack's Blog has some good points on collecting Salt and Peppers. Linda@alacarte likes to collect orphan salts or peppers (and Whiskey Jack does too).

  3. Those are so fantastic. I was at an antique store a couple of years ago and bought my kids a set of corn cobs dressed in bright outfits with big smiliing faces. Strange but very cute and the kids adore them.
